No!

A certain little girl is in the habit of saying ‘No’. She says it a lot. In fact, all of the time. One day though, she is faced with a very tempting question and can’t help but say ‘YES!’ Perhaps saying ‘Yes’ isn’t so bad after all.

Encourage creativity and conversation with kids using these fun discussion questions:

Creativity & Imagination:

  • What do you think the little boy might say “yes” to next time?
  • Can you imagine a day where everyone says “no” to everything? What would that look like?
  • If you wrote your own story with one word, what would it be and why?

Feelings & Emotions:

  • How do you think the adults feel when the boy keeps saying “no”?
  • Have you ever said “no” a lot in one day? Why did you feel that way?
  • What do you think the boy is really feeling inside when he says “no” all the time?

Nature & Science:

  • What are some things you say “no” to in nature, like foods or bugs?
  • Can animals say “no” in their own way? How might they do it?
  • Why do we sometimes say “no” even when someone offers help or food?
